Fabian on Saxophone!

The first time I met Fabian was during this saxophone recording session of " Finally Here" (track 1 in vol 2). A very talented musicians of few words...or so we thought. ( Now that we've worked together for a year or more, he is actually very humourous...dark humour actually, the kind that will make you pause for a while then you go oh, very funny fabian..haha..)

He plays both the flute and saxophone and is a natural when it comes to improvising the pieces. You can see his credentials here (urm..actually there are a lot more but due to space constrains we had to edit and shorten it =) )

That's Charles, my recording engineer....deep in thoughts...

He is a really nice and funny guy. His favourite statement is " ming tian gao su ni" which means I'll tell you the answer tomorrow. Hahaha...Can you imagine the teacher's face when his 5 year old son said that to his teacher one day?

That's me preparing to sing " Yong bu ting zhi de ai" a special tribute to parents song based on story of Adnes,Chris and their family...

And as usual Charles will be asking if the air-con is ok, if the light is too dim or if the position of the mic is ok etc...he really is very thoughtful..recently he even added a mini sofa set in the recording studio so we can rest!

I love his warm and gentle vocals.

The top picture : That's me & Eric at Atomic studio preparing for the recording of track 13: Till the end of time. A song written for Eileen and Tony who both happens to be able to sing really well.

Original Love Stories...

2 more days to 2nd album launch...

When wedding harmony ( for those who don't know, its our small and humble music production and performing company) started original love stories vol 1 about one and a half years back, it was a lot of experimenting and very much like a roller coaster ride. It was really exciting for me,lots of ups and downs and well I could never expect what's gonna happen next...

We were purely "music" people, with a handful of original love songs composed and recorded but producing and distributing an album was totally new to us and we soon found an entire world out there.

The outcome was pretty good I guess, although we would lament that things could have been done better (colour of the print,design of the booklet etc.) but it brought our music to many more people and in return we had many encouraging comments from well-wishers, people who liked what we do, supporting friends and those who even bought 10 albums as gifts for their friends!

It all seems like yesterday, and I guess its all these little thoughts and actions from all the wonderful people that brought us here today. Original Love Stories Vol 2. is all set to go. For the first time I will see the "end-product" this coming Saturday at Sheraton Towers Show.

Now that the roller coaster ride is over - I think I can smile, get a cup of coffee and relax a little? *wink*=P
